Madeira Phytoplankton Lab is a research laboratory at the Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Madeira. It is hosted at the Marine Biology Station of Funchal and part of MARE-Madeira.

Our research activities are dedicated to marine phytoplankton focussing on taxonomy, ecology, population dynamics, HAB’s (Harmful Algae Blooms) and other related aspects.
